About Us

Sam and Lea have been the owners of Queens Park Motels since June 2015. It is a quiet neighbourhood and home to the magnificent Queens Park that attracted us and still attracts us to this idyllic place here in central Invercargill.

The motel gardens attract a wide variety of birdlife including pigeons, blackbirds, finches, thrushes and even ducks, and listening to the tuis in the kowhai trees are a delight.

Our favourites in the gardens are the bedding begonias, the Chatham Island lily and the roses. The outstanding scented plant is the rhododendron fragrantissima.

We invite you to share this lovely location with us. Just enter the gardens through the back gate and with our brochure map, find your way around the many tracks, gardens, cultural and sporting attractions. Visit the two cafés or sit and enjoy the entertainment at the band rotunda. Our favourite pastime is visiting the rose gardens, sitting on the seat in a gentle breeze and breathing in the scent of the roses.
